This is the first deep dive into the Salary Trends 2025. I have decided to let the data speak for itself, so the commentary is limited.

The analysis excludes interns/working students. Based on 205 respondents, this deep dive reveals a few unexpected patterns in Product Management compensation, including leadership-level gender pay reversals and, as in the main report, slightly counter-intuitive language proficiency impacts.

I’ve added brief interpretations to highlight these surprising findings.

How much does experience increase salaries?

Salaries show steady progression through mid-career, with increases accelerating from 16.4% to 18.1% between experience brackets. However, the progression breaks at 21-30 years of experience, where median salaries drop 5.1% to €102,000. This is also likely because of the late emergence of Product Management as a title/discipline.

(Note: The actual observed growth from entry level to peak salary is 52.2%)

How does company size impact salaries?

Salaries don’t scale linearly with company size. Compensation generally rises from small to large companies, but there’s a notable dip at 501-1000 employees (€81,000), suggesting mid-sized companies may face budget constraints or offer different compensation structures compared to both smaller growth-stage companies and established enterprises.
