Handpicked actually is the newsletter I both read most and remember most reading. I read it a lot as it has relevant information for me mixing down to earth events from my field of interest with news about my city I would miss otherwise. I subscribed while i was looking for a new job, stayed for al the info and the fresh tips. Its useful to have a weekly overview of the job market, plus i love the weekly survey - nice to know what others thinks about salary, notice and so on. i’m still quite new to the German market - still in the learning curve - and Handpicked for Berlin has been a huge help to feel a little bit more integrated.

I find it super informative and just the right blend of news, humour, current trends, job vacancies and interesting events! I have been following it for a while and use all the codes they ever share. Most recently I was at a music event, tickets for which I bought with a discount code from the newsletter, I was about to share my secret with this person I was talking to (thank God I didn't), turns out he is the one who writes the newsletter himself! Keep doing what you're doing! The content is super fun and engaging, touches on reflections that are super important for us as immigrant communities, always relevant and very on the nose. The overview on the tech market is super helpful not only on where things are opening up but also, where shifts and challenges are, workers of the world, unite! I think the segment showcasing folks looking for new opportunities is great as an exercise in summarizing and pinpointing your experience, sometimes also a big step in having the courage to sell yourself and put yourself out there in a new city, perhaps can also translate into a relaxed live exchange? Networking is not everyones cup of tea but, maybe folks can have some fun and a little business on the side - Pecha Kucha events are always cool, nights were we can laugh at work and all the difference scenes and idiosyncrasies this big city has to offer is always fun and we all need a beer from time to time.
