I think Claude Code changed my life. Yes, dramatic, but bear with me.
Before starting to use Claude Code I was using the chat interface and projects. I don’t really remember how and why I ended up trying Claude Code in the terminal, but when I did, I understood the magic pretty fast: I built a complete website (now already defunct pitchblast.de) from scratch, without any copy-pasting back and forth.

After building the website in the terminal it became clear: this is the way. I never looked back.
Because of the power of the terminal I was able to move this website from WordPress to Astro and save over €200 annually in hosting costs alone. Now I can “talk” to my website. And this is only one of the things I worked on since I started using Claude Code in the terminal.
I want to share this magic with you. That’s why I partnered up with Phil, an excellent educator and software engineering leader with 25 years of experience. Our collaboration started with Open Claw, an early workshop where we taught people to install and run an open-source coding agent.
Afterwards we designed a new workshop for non-technical people. We ran a pilot, tweaked the concept, and now there are two ways for you to step in.
Build your first app with AI in one sitting
Hands-on, in-person in Berlin, with an online follow-up. Set up a coding agent on your laptop and build something that works.

Plan a team workshopBuild your first app with AI in one sitting
Most people are still using AI through a chat box. Coding agents are a different kind of tool: quieter, faster, a lot more powerful, and almost nobody outside engineering teams has tried them. One session with Phil and me is enough to flip the switch.
You’ll set up a coding agent on your own laptop, build a working to-do app together, and walk out knowing how to build whatever you want next. We cap each session at a small group on purpose — it’s the only way Phil and I can give everyone real attention, including the people who get stuck. Seats go fast because of it, so pick a date below and grab yours before it fills up.
What I most want non-technical people to walk out with is the atmosphere. Anne described it better than I could:
“I’m a psychologist, and this course gave me a clear, hands-on introduction. What really stood out was the atmosphere: lots of laughter, astonishing stories from participants, and a genuinely inspiring group. I now feel much more confident understanding where AI is heading and what its current limits are. I’d highly recommend this to non-technical people who may have only used tools like ChatGPT so far. And yes, I used ChatGPT to help polish this testimonial, which felt only right after the course.”
— Anne, HR Manager
What’s great about Adam’s takeaway is how concrete it is. He didn’t leave with theory but with a real tool he uses at work:
Joining the workshop was a genuinely eye-opening experience. As someone with relatively little coding experience, I was really pleasantly surprised how quickly I was up and running making genuinely useful things — after an initial learning curve, it stripped away a lot of the intimidation and made the whole process feel much more accessible.
Phil and Igor did a fantastic job clearly guiding us through the complex concepts with hands-on, usable steps. Rather than just theory, the workshop focused on actually doing: running commands, experimenting, and understanding how AI tools can be used to create real useful things.
By the end, I had built a web app that has saved me a ton of time at work and I am far more confident using AI tools in a meaningful way. I’d highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to move beyond surface-level AI tools and gain real, practical skills!
— Adam McBean, 3D / AI Project Manager
A lot of people have tried Claude on their own and bounced off the first wall they hit. Here is Julia:
I really enjoyed the two workshops. I previously only tackled building with Claude on my own, and so it was great to be given a guided sandbox experience, see real set up from fellow non-coder, and hear from others. I feel more confident and clear for next steps in building tools for myself.
— Julia, coach
And Jackie’s momentum after the workshop:
A great workshop for getting started with Claude Code. Loved learning alongside others new to the Terminal - amazed by what I built in a week!
— Jackie, Architect
We weren’t sure how the workshop would land with people who already work next to engineers. Tim’s testimonial felt like proof we got something right:
Igor and Phil provided an engaging and supportive environment that made taking those first technical steps feel welcoming and exciting. By the end, people were already sharing cool software concepts that would’ve been totally over our heads a year ago, which is amazing considering we’d only just started learning what it all was.
— Tim Owens, Research Lead @ Statista
More from past participants
The workshop was a fantastic introduction to the possibilities of AI coding agents for non-technical professionals. It completely changed my perspective on what is possible with tools like Claude Code. After spending a morning with Igor and Phil, I came away with numerous ideas for practical use cases that I can now build and implement independently, without relying on technical support. I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to move beyond simply chatting with AI and start creating real solutions.
— Manuel Spallek, Head of Advertising
I have been dragging my feet for months on adapting AI practices into my work as a web developer, and this workshop gave me the push and the guidance I needed to dive in. Phil and Igor made me realize that I have been coming at AI and Claude Code from the completely wrong direction. Three days after the seminar, I delivered a work product using Claude that fit my client’s needs perfectly. I really needed this!
— Russell Coon
I attended the workshop and came away genuinely impressed. Igor and Phil were both extremely professional, highly knowledgeable, and delivered a course that felt thoughtfully designed for exactly the right audience. What stood out to me was how well they understood their customer segment. As a working professional looking to upskill and build practical AI capabilities, I felt like the course was tailored precisely to what I had been searching for. It struck the right balance between accessibility and real hands-on learning. Most importantly, the workshop did not just teach us how to build something in one sitting — Igor and Phil equipped us with frameworks, tools, and ways of thinking that allow us to continue learning, automating, and strengthening our AI skills well beyond the course itself.
— Christina Liu
Igor and Phil’s course is one of the best-organized learning experiences I’ve had in a long time. They have a rare gift for explaining things clearly and concisely, with great attention to detail. Despite a wide mix of skill levels in the group, everyone felt genuinely supported throughout. Even as someone on the more advanced end, I came away with sharper skills and a much better sense of what’s possible to build today. The follow-up demo session was the perfect touch; it turned the course into something closer to an accountability community where people were encouraged to actually build in a supportive environment.
— Pier Martin
I wasn’t sure at first how much I could learn in 3 hours, but was so pleasantly surprised by this workshop. Igor and Phil made it easy and reassured even the silliest of questions. I walked away with an understanding of the terminal that made me super excited to start building for both my work and personal life. Have already recommended the course to lots of people I know.
— Erin Bohmiller
The course was great to gain a first understanding of the possibilities of Claude Code and AI-apps in general. For non-technical people, I would definitely recommend the course as it’s (basically) impossible to do on your own what we did during the workshop. Looking forward to applying what I’ve learned in the real world!
— Leo Dihlmann

Upcoming workshops
Everyday AI Club
We curate the crowd strictly on an exclude-to-include principle: keeping the room mostly non-technical is what makes it work for non-technical people.
AI is moving fast and most of the conversation about it happens between engineers talking to other engineers. That leaves a lot of curious people sitting on the sidelines. Everyday AI Club is the room we wished existed: a casual evening for non-technical people who use AI, or want to, but don’t have a CS degree and aren’t planning to get one. No laptop, no homework, no engineers explaining things over your head.
The evening is short and tight: a 15-minute keynote, a couple of demos from people actually using AI in their work or life, and small-group table discussions on topics like personal productivity, marketing and outreach automation, health and wellness, family, and creativity. Bring your questions, including the ones you’ve been embarrassed to ask, and leave with ideas you can try tomorrow.
Want to present? If you’d like to do a five-minute demo of how you use AI, or pitch a 15-minute keynote, tell us about it. We’re always looking for fresh voices.

Frequently asked questions
Who is this workshop for?
Non-technical professionals who want to use AI tools beyond the chat interface. PMs, marketers, founders, designers, coaches, HR, anyone curious about what they’re missing. You don’t need to code; you just need to be comfortable using a computer.
Do I need any technical background?
No. The whole point of the workshop is to show that coding agents are approachable for non-developers. If you can install an app and follow step-by-step instructions, you can do this.
What will I actually build?
A working to-do app, on your own laptop, in one sitting. It’s small by design: simple enough to finish in one sitting, concrete enough to teach you the whole concept. From there you’ll know how to build the next thing yourself, whether that’s a daily journal, a personal dashboard, an inbox helper, or a small website.
What does the workshop cost?
Pricing varies by session. Check the event detail page on Luma for the current price and what’s included.
What if these dates don’t work?
